Roles and Permission on Juno
Overview
Juno's role hierarchy ensures that hiring can scale without losing oversight. Super Admins maintain ultimate control over team access, Admins drive recruitment operations, and General users execute the day-to-day hiring work.
🔴 Super Admin
The account owner with full user lifecycle control and unrestricted hiring access.
Team Control
Enable/disable any team member: Instantly deactivate (soft delete) or reactivate Admin and General user accounts without permanently deleting data
Manage user status: Suspend access for offboarding employees or paused contractors; restore access when needed without re-inviting
Hiring & Operational Access
Full hiring capabilities: Conduct interviews, screen candidates, generate offers, and manage pipelines (same functional access as General users)
Cross-team visibility: Access all candidate data and hiring workflows across every department and role
Configuration authority: Modify organization settings, integrations, and workflow automation
Account Ownership
Billing management: Control subscriptions, payment methods, and invoicing
Role elevation: Promote General users to Admin status (cannot create other Super Admins without ownership transfer)
⚠️ Critical Permission: Only Super Admins can disable/enable team members. If someone leaves the company, you must use this role to revoke access immediately.
🟡 Admin
Hiring managers and team leads who build the recruitment pipeline and expand the team.
Team Expansion
Add new team members: Invite General users (Recruiters, Interviewers) to the workspace
Initialize user setup: Assign initial permissions and functional roles (Recruiter vs. Interviewer) upon invitation
Hiring Operations
Conduct full hiring process: Create job postings, screen resumes using AI ranking, schedule interviews, and send offer letters
Pipeline management: Move candidates through all hiring stages and coordinate with interview panels
Workflow configuration: Customize screening questions, interview templates, and evaluation scorecards
Limitations
❌ Cannot disable/enable users for permision higher than General: They can only add and remove General Users
❌ Cannot modify billing: View-only access to subscription details
❌ Cannot manage Super Admin accounts: Cannot invite, remove, or modify other Admins or Super Admins
💡 Hiring Tip: Admins should handle the bulk of candidate screening and interviewer coordination, escalating user access issues to Super Admin.
🔵 General
The execution layer for day-to-day recruitment activities without team management overhead.
Core Hiring Functions
Conduct interviews: Access candidate profiles, review AI-generated questions, submit feedback scorecards, and coordinate scheduling
Support hiring decisions: Grade candidates, add evaluation notes, and recommend next steps (reject, advance, or offer)
Personal workflow management: Connect personal calendars, set availability preferences, and manage assigned candidate pipelines
Access Boundaries
❌ Cannot add team members: No invitation privileges; new user requests must route through Admin or Super Admin
❌ No user management: Cannot modify, disable, or view other team member accounts
